Evelyne McCann is completing her final year of a bachelor’s degree in Biology at Faculty of Science and Engineering, Laval University. The training is multidisciplinary; however, her primary interest is in the field of cell biology. She will be taking part in Dr. Abdel-Mawgoud’s synthetic biology laboratory in the upcoming year to develop her abilities in scientific research. Her focus will be in screening and isolation of biosurfactant production and lipogenic psychrophilic microorganisms from a permafrost environment.
