I am at my last semester of the B.Sc. in biochemistry which I’ll finish in 2021. I discovered the field of synthetic biology with my participation in the synthetic biology team of Laval University in 2020 and 2021. The latter compete at the international competition of iGEM. This experience inspired me to continue my career towards a M.Sc. in the same field of study. In this perspective, I joined Abdel-Mawgoud Synthetic Biology lab. My work will consist of rewiring lipogenic microorganisms’ metabolisms towards an increased production of biofuel molecules.
